More countries can enter China free of visa— Visa Exemption Policy for Switzerland and Six Other Countries

Notice on the Trial Implementation of Visa Exemption Policy for Switzerland and Six Other Countries

In order to further promote exchanges between Chinese and foreign nationals, China has decided to expand the scope of visa exemption for certain countries. From March 14th to November 30th, 2024, nationals of Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg holding ordinary passports will be eligible for a trial visa exemption policy. Individuals from these countries can enter China for business, tourism, visiting relatives, or transit for up to 15 days without a visa. Those who do not meet the conditions for visa exemption from the above-mentioned countries will still need to obtain a visa to enter China before arrival.
